Paneer is fun and easy to make. It comes much cheaper if home made than bought outside.
All you need is just milk, lemon and…cotton! 100% pure.
Bring to boil 1 liter of milk and add the juice of a lemon, stir and let it aside for 15 minuts. The curds will separate from the weath. Filter eveything and put the curds in a cotton bag. Hang it overnight. The day after the cheese will be compact in the sack, give a shape and leave under a heavy object for few hours. Finally take it out of the sack and cut in cubes.
Paneer is good in the spinach soup, for omelettes, in salads, fried alone with salt…
The picture shows paneer and chestnut fried together. Sprinkled with salt and decorated with spring-onion. Yummi!
