Playful spirit: an artist in Italy

When you stumble upon the artworks of Letizia Cortini you want to see all of them! We live today in a world made out of plays, games, nothing is real and yet everything is real. Toys, threads, colors, feelings, caos, abstractism, meditation, seeking, nature are visible almost everywhere. This is also the world reflected in her paintings. A complete world based on poetry, dreams, events, travels, meditation and thoughts. Works that seems to come from far far away but they are very much present thru an innocent desire of purity and sweetness. The technique is various: pastel, oil, tempera, watercolors, china, sculpture of glass, stripes of paper utilized with discretion and softness.

But Letizia is a complete artist with versatile spirit. As a journalist and essayist she is involved in projects aiming to the preservation of valuable souces in the fields of photography, filming and archivial documents. As a scenographer she coordinated the development of the play ”The ballerina fairy and the story of the sun and the moon”.  She’s active member of DUNA (National Union Women and Artists) and IAWA (International Association Women Artists) and was awarded with a gold medal by the Italian government in a national artistic context.

A beautiful example of dynamism and love towards the nourishment of the social fiber we live absorbed in.
