Alphonse Mucha (1860-1939): His credo depicts in a strongly symbolic and decorative style a world of
ethereal beauty, in which the power of reason and the power of love are reconciled through the influence of wisdom. The central motif in Mucha’s artistic universe is dominated by the figure of a woman, demonstrating the path of humanity and wisdom. [title of the painting below: Age of Wisdom]
The small Museum to him dedicated is situated in Pragua downtown. It features only the work of the great Czech Art Nouveau artist. You will enjoy a collection including awesome paintings, posters, sketches, statues and photographs by the artist. You will read his life thru his phenomenal work. Mucha spent many years in France, he also studied at the Academie Colerossi whose motto was “There is no new or old in art because art is eternal” .
His paintings where the woman is the essencial and central inspiration are drenched with sweetness, love and freshness. We can call this one eternal art.
