The life of a Chinese school girl from one of most remote parts. Ma Yan is sweet, sad, brave and intelligent. About the Muslim slice of the Chinese population, the educational systen of rural areas and the enduring womanly spirit planted in a very young girl.

2.USA, The daring book for girls

Have fun for real and learn all different girlie stuff! This is a book for the youngest ones and teaches an array of things, from hand made crafts, to tea ceremony, to set up a campfire, to organize a fair.

3.Pakistan, And the world changed

An anthology by 25 women with same cultural background and different lives of travellers, immigrants or explorers. The fresh voice of the country.

4.Iraq, Bagdad burning, a girl blog

The last post in this blog was in 2007 when the author, 25 years old, said she he moved to Sirya.

5.Iran, Persepolis

Two autobiographical comic books by Marjane Satrapi picturing her childhood during difficult times in Iran and secondly her student life in Vienna. They have become  an awarded animated movie unique in its genre:  ”If you can make other people laugh, you have touched their spirit, where it is the most important. There’s no more powerful weapon. And I love whatever is kitsch, a bit away from what is consensual good taste.”

[...] Despite of the nice job done by the primordial masters in acient times it seems that seeds have been possibly planted but after centuries…where is the blossoming? A nation fully based, in its own educational and social system, on these two qualities should litterally flourish without having especially its young people struggling.  [...]
